When the going gets TOUGH, the TOUGH gets going….

The true measure of a man is not how he behaves in moments of comfort and convenience but how he stands at times of controversy and challenges.
– Martin Luther King Jr.

How many of us actually claim to be the strong and undefeatable yet fall apart when faced with obstacles? How many times have we given up simply because things were not going as per plan? Do we really have a fighter within ourselves who would persevere consistently until the goal is achieved? Or are we just a bunch of losers who can’t put up a good game?

As stated by Martin Luther King Jr, “The true measure of a man is not how he behaves in moments of comfort and convenience but how he stands at times of controversy and challenges. ” Each and every one of us could be a great pilot in calm weather but how many of us would even have the strength to face a storm?

Life will never be a bed of roses but it is a continuous journey of great and difficult times. What makes the difference is simply how we tackle the situation. Sometimes “In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity – Albert Einstein” and we have to positive enough to grab the opportunity and turn the difficulty into a challenge rather than being negative and crying over it.

Having a positive approach to anything in life will make the difference between a high flyer and a mediocre person. Most of life’s problems are not isolated or preventable, however if we are smart enough to understand that a problem is simply the gap between the expected and the reality then the way we approach the situation would be surely different.

So ask yourself, are you positive minded or are you blaming others and the circumstances which were beyond your control for your life’s failures? The first step to being successful is understanding what is in and beyond your control? No matter how hard we try there are certain things that are absolutely beyond our sphere of control. Therefore the only thing that could be done about such situations is train our minds to look at them positively.

Finally I would conclude by reminding that Challenges are what make life interesting; overcoming them is what makes life meaningful. Joshua J. Marine. It is not whether you got knocked down, It is whether you got up again.
